NW Veg's Veganic gardening group meets sporadically in the Community Room to discuss veganic (vegan organic) gardening.

Topics for our first meeting included recycling, concerns about the use of animal manures and sewer sludge as a soil amendment, urine as a nitrogen source for gardening, winter gardening, seed starting and catalogs, composting, worm composting, and soil pH. The meeting ended with a seed exchange and a tour of the ecovillage's seed starting area.

A second meeting discussed similar topics. Other meetings will be scheduled according to member interest.
