In Spring 2010 Ole and Maitri Ersson met with Mark Lakeman to discuss their desire to make over the exterior of the ecovillage building. The goal is to increase visual interest in the original, rather plain, exterior appearance. Mark then prepared a set of design ideas and goals. Once the permaculture design of the grounds was available, he produced a series of sketches showing his ideas for a possible makeover. His major design elements consist of a new, more prominent, entrance, a tower on the middle building, new roof lines which include spires at several points, and awnings and mural panels on the east side facing the street. All in all, Mark's proposal makes for a rather spectacular transformation. Eventually, we hope Mark will prepare a color rendition of his sketches
