Values Statement

We value:

• the diversity of our community which includes different ethnic and cultural backgrounds, incomes, ages, family types, sexual orientations, and spiritual paths
• children and elders in our community.
• each other’s privacy
• honesty, cleanliness, non-harming, non-stealing, simplicity, and being helpful to others
• regular community gatherings and celebrations with vegan potlucks.
• common facilities and areas such as the laundry/mail room, the common room, garbage and recycling area, the balconies, walkways and the parking spaces.
• frugal use of energy and resources, such as electricity and water
• organic gardening, composting, local food production
• the principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle
• sustainable practices such as the harvesting of rainwater and solar energy
• human powered transport and its infrastructure, both on-site and in the wider community
• a screening process for prospective new residents before joining the community
